"Under klima-topmødet i København vil der også blive et samarbejde mellem repræsentanter for forskellige religioner. F.eks. er pilgrimspræst Elisabeth Lidell engageret i projektet ”Beyond Borders – Climate Pilgrims CPH ´09”, der forsøger at engagere forskellige religioner i kampen for en klimaaftale. Det er muligt at pastor Sally Bingham fra den amerikanske ”Interfaith Power and Light” kampagne tog munden for fuld, da hun på konferencen i England udtalte, at religiøse ledere med deres prædikener på dette område vil have større indflydelse end videnskabsmænd og politikere. Men meget tyder på, at ledere fra mange forskellige religioner er begyndt at erkende deres ansvar for at bidrage til løsningen af klimakrisen.
